The S3K Atlanta Initiative
With support from the Marcus Foundation, Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta Rabbinical Association, Synagogue 3000 launched the S3K Atlanta Initiative in November of 2006 to help create a renaissance in synagogue life and affiliation in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Initiative consists of:
- On the weekend of March 23/24, 2007, Synagogue 3000 presented three Shabbat services at local synagogues lead by S3K Leadership Network member Craig Taubman.
- A series of workshops for professional and lay synagogue leaders. Over 20 synagogues signed up to participate, sending teams to meet with S3K synagogue experts to study, share and support one another in their sacred work.
- On November 4, 2007, S3K presents Hallelu Atlanta, a celebration of Jewish spirit and synagogue life produced by Craig Taubman.
