Rabbi Brent Spodek of Next Dor Affiliate the Emek Project describes his recent experience of getting "covered with mud and paint and sweat and was sort of miserable and also sort of thrilled to be part of this community. I had spent the week with incredible people who had come out and given serious chunks of the time to help build an office at Beacon Hebrew Alliance the synagogue where, as of July 1, I’m going to be rabbi."
